After the meet, we all met whether planned or unplanned at the local Taco Bell...then everyone went their own separate ways. I ended up with 4 kids: Walters, Lucas, Ryker and Kaya. We went downtown Sandpoint and hung out at a little mall, Starbucks, a map store (yes, Tyler, you were right and you will see the poster in class), and the snow-swirling streets. The snow continued to swirl on the drive home. We stopped in Bonners for a quick tour of the deadly quiet museum. The kids got to type on an old-fashioned typewriter! Then stopped at Moyie to see the bridge from the viewpoint area. Thanks to Ryker who took time to read the infoboard, I know that the bridge is 476 feet high. I don't like driving over that bridge. The kids enjoyed the day...except for my music..."Could we maybe listen to some music from this century or even the last?" I enjoyed the day a lot too.
How exciting :-) I decided in a few years we are going to hire you and Laura to teach all our kids in a one room school ;-)We need experienced teachers and you can work in Milli's bakery on the side . . . or maybe for us on the side and her full time. We miss you beautiful lady!!!
ReplyDeleteMiss you all too! Would be glad to teach if you all moved to MT =)or central OR...sounds like a great couple of jobs.
ReplyDeleteOne never knows what the future may hold...Montana?? Not a bad choice...IF the gun laws have drastic changes there may be MANY migrating your way! Let us know if you find lots of land with a year round stream flowing through it ;-) and a one room school nearby. LOL
ReplyDeleteJeepers, Anna, I just checked in to your blog. I see that I have missed several very entertaining entries! I love 'em! You have alot a fun with your classroom of kids even at a speech meet. You make TacoBell look like an exciting place to be with the whirling snow and all. What lucky kids to have you for a teacher!! And you're pretty too....added bonus there=) I don't remember you going to a speech meet in Spokane.....when was that? 5th grade? Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteLots going on...I'm don't usually post during the school year, so no wonder you missed them! The kids were a lot of fun, that was a great day with them. Elisha and I went, I think. Of course, I could be wrong though. Memory isn't my forte anymore! It's all gone like feathers from a ripped pillow or dandelion fluff, or water from a sieve... =)
